Laura Kuy has had a passion for flowers from a very early age, and has always taken every opportunity to learn about the subject, both practically and academically.
Having left school, Laura then graduated from the much acclaimed Capel Manor Horticultural College with distinctions in Floristry and Garden Design, and soon began working within prestigious 'West End' florists and boutiques.
During this time Laura worked alongside some fantastic and inspirational role models who helped to shape her design and business skills.
Laura worked at Moyses Stevens' signature store on Sloane Street SW1 and also managed their concessions within Harrods and Peter Jones. From here Laura had the opportunity to work for Jane Packer flowers both in London, and a two year duration in New York - teaching in her schools and managing across the business - from the workroom to the contracts team.
During these placements, Laura continued to learn about business to business relationships, whilst building strong foundations, relationships with clients and had a heavy focus on excellent and consistent customer satisfaction.
Laura's ability to design and work to such a high level enabled her to conceive original and innovative ideas, including installations for famous hotels and financial companies, restaurants and internet ordering sites. Her work has been featured exclusively throughout many high end magazines, including Vogue, House & Garden, You & Your Wedding, Your London Wedding and Ideal Home.
Laura has been invited to lecture and demonstrate on an international stage; extensively throughout Europe and America (including Macys Department Store and for Waterford Crystal) her work has also been featured in major motion pictures and she created the flower arrangements for the film 'Alfie' (starring Jude Law and Susan Sarandon)
The next stage in Laura's career was to freelance - working for companies such as Paula Pryke, Robbie Honey and designing for Marks & Spencer. Before long she was offered a product development role within M&S, designing for stores, online, special events and became the exclusive florist to their executives and directors.
Now, Laura Kuy is designing for her own personal clients. Her client base includes being the exclusive in-house florist for Sanderson and St Martins Lane hotels, Criterion Restaurant, Bodyshop UK, M&S and Prada Retail UK.
